Rental Requirements
Valid photo identification with current address and payment in full as well as any deposit are required at the point of rental.
Rental Charges
Rental Charges are based on Time Out, not on time used (some exceptions may apply). Regular rates apply to Sundays and Holidays ( some exceptions may apply ).
Rental Day - Monday thru Friday ( open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. )
Items picked up between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. are due back within 24 hours for a 1-day charge ( unless otherwise indicated ).
Rental Day - Saturday ( open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. )
Items picked up Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and Noon are due back the same day ( Saturday ) by 4:30 p.m. for a 1-day charge ( unless otherwise indicated ).
Rental Day - Sunday ( Closed )
Items picked up Saturday between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. are due back the following Monday at 8:00 a.m. for a 1-day charge. NOTE: 3:30 p.m. pickup Saturday may be available if the item is in.
Minimum Rentals
Selected items may have a minimum rate available, this is our minimum charge for up to 4 hours during our business day ( for example, pickup at 8:00 am, return at noon ).
On busy Saturdays, half days are scheduled as follows:
Morning session from 8:00 a.m. to Noon - Afternoon session from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Deposits
Reservation, Security, or Cleaning deposits are collected where appropriate.
Reservations
We will reserve equipment for you with a reservation deposit. This is refundable if a change or cancellation is given at least 48 hours in advance, except for Party and Special Event items. No deposit will be refunded for Party and Special Event item cancellations.
We understand that many reservations will be affected by the weather. In the event of unworkable weather conditions, credit slips, no refunds will be given for the use of the same tool, in the same season. This does not apply to Party and Special Event items.
Delivery - Pickup Services
Tailgate delivery to your driveway is available on certain items for a nominal fee. Call for pricing. Please note that delivery and pickup times are based on our schedule so plan your workday accordingly. Additional charges will be incurred if the equipment is not ready for pickup at the agreed-upon time.
Breakdowns
Milford 495 Rental Center takes pride in the quality of the equipment we offer for rent. Our service technicians work hard to maintain the equipment so that your job goes well. Unfortunately, breakdowns can occur even with well-maintained equipment.
If equipment malfunctions or breaks down it is the lessors’ responsibility to discontinue use and to notify Milford 495 Rental Center immediately. If we can not work out the problem over the phone then it is the lessors’ responsibility to return the equipment immediately for repair or replacement unless other arrangements have been made with Milford 495 Rental Center.
It is our policy to either repair or replace the defective equipment so that the lessor can complete their job. No refunds will be given for malfunctions or breakdowns.
Damage
The lessor is completely responsible for any and all damage incurred during their rental. The lessor will be charged the full repair and or replacement cost for damaged items.
Loss or Theft
Beware of theft! Responsibility for equipment remains with the lessor from the time out to the time checked in. Please be sure all equipment is secure when not in use and protected from the weather. The lessor will be charged the full replacement cost for lost or stolen items.
